Love doesn’t always make sense

These were a few particular pieces with very special meaning. Those songs didn't match the music I was making with others then. Without the talents and inspiration of Tiana and Rebecca, these songs may never have found their true voice.

  • Woman with long braids wearing earrings and a necklace, sitting in front of a stone wall and plants.

    Tiana Goss

    Vocals

"These few songs began our musical relationship. It was more than just stumbling upon talent; these chords, lyrics, and Tiana crossed paths at just the right time. Tiana brings a voice that is both emotionally authentic and technically dazzling.

  • Smiling woman with long hair, hand on chin, wearing a black outfit and pearl necklace, against a dark background.

    Rebecca Zimmer-Huber

    Cello

Rebecca is a professional vocalist with a mastery of musical theater to classical styles. She is also an accomplished cellist who has performed in various settings, from solo to orchestral. Her cello playing significantly amplifies the emotional impact of D’amour Fou on these songs.

Most people will tell you they “write” songs, but often, songs are “come up” with - drawn, almost paint-by-numbers, “stay inside the lines,” allowing the musician space to color and shade the song. Other songs ARE “written”  every note and rhythm precisely notated. the musician is not required to stay between but rather precisely ON the line. While this seemingly gives the musician less creative space to work within, the interpretation of the strictly written piece can land a much more effective emotional punch. Nuanced phrasing, dynamics, and tone can combine to place a laser focus on the intended emotion.
