The Last Blood Moon

"The Last Blood Moon" is an electronic instrumental project inspired by the Blood Moon Tetrad, which occurred between April 2014 and September 2015. Each eclipse was experienced at a different location. The album features hand-played percussion on the synthesizer, rather than automated rhythms, creating a uniquely human take on synthesized sound. The music is meditative and contemplative.

The music is angry, without being cynical, capturing that moment of pure, unadulterated frustration.The sound blends hard rock energy with expansive improvisations, hinting at both Southern and Prog rock sensibilities. At its heart, a powerful, keyboard-driven core drives the band through moments of intense release and cathartic expression. Conceived in 2008 during the stark solitude of winter solstice and brought to fruition under the scorching summer sun of Yucca Valley, the desert's vastness and intensity are palpable in the music. The band’s name, “The Brush,” encapsulates the feeling of being dismissed, and that raw emotional content is the fuel that drives the sound.
